Breakthrough work

"Human" is a breakthrough work, both in the work of the group, and in this direction as a whole. The material on this record is, perhaps, more meaningful, compared with previous works. The guys did not focus on anything specific, they thought through the whole picture of the album entirely, which is very commendable. Starting with this work, Death began to noticeably progress, thereby raising the bar, and with each following album they presented us with new and interesting things. Technique and melody of the songs have improved significantly, due to which the album has become little in common with its predecessors. In addition, the group moved to a new label Relativity, and the record gained a completely new sound. Talking about the energy that this opus carries in me, I can say that he listens in one breath, and at the same time for only 34 minutes you can feel an unreal drive, which you may not even get any of the previous three works. And the instrumental number of "Cosmic Sea" and generally plunges the listener into ecstasy, immersing it in the atmosphere of the cosmos, which carries a lot of interesting things and secrets. It's impossible not to notice that the guitarists are giving out the same excellent solos, and Steve DiGiorgio's work, as always, can only be admired. Competent and well-coordinated work of musicians in the team gave us this wonderful record. As for strong things, it's hard for me to single out any specific compositions, here they are all good. But, nevertheless, I will notice that my favorite song is "Suicide Machine", that I can not argue ... So, in 1991, Chuck pleasantly surprised us with his work, which literally put the group on a new level and became the starting line In their development. The next work "Individual Thought Patterns" will present us with more fresh ideas and innovations, but the role of "Human" in this chain is one of the most important in the development of the group.
